Join us for the latest Berkeley Emeryville Bioscience mixer. The evening will include food, drink and information from our hosts, recently opened Annex QB3 East Bay Innovation Center. The Annex QB3 East Bay Innovation Center is located in the Berkeley Emeryville Bioscience Cluster. Together the two cities are a dynamic center for discovery and manufacturing in biosciences. Biotech was invented here and now about 100 life science companies make this place their home. Our featured guest this evening will be…Find out more »
Helen Sun, Eko Devices intern. Our special guests will be the Bio2Market Program. Hear highlights of their experiences with our East Bay industry partners. Eko Devices’ Helen Sun will talk about their mobile diagnostics solution, and H&J Science & Technology will discuss their microfuidic “lab-on-a-chip” portable medical diagnostic tool. You'll have opportunity to meet a dynamic group of students and their industry mentors. Plus, you'll learn how your enterprise can benefit from this program. Together Berkeley…Find out more »
Meet us at Fieldwork Brewing to enjoy the results of local microbial fermentation. We will hear from beer fermentation expert, Josh Olenberg-Meltzer, of Fieldwork. Then we'll get to meet fellow fermentation expert, Vy Nguyen, of CMC Biologics. From pilsner making to perfusion manufacturing, come meet the range of bioscience expertise in Berkeley. Berkeley and Emeryville are a dynamic center for discovery and manufacturing in biosciences. Some 100 firms occupy more than 1.45 million square feet of commercial biolab space here,…Find out more »
Celebrate 17 UC Berkeley students who conducted research for Berkeley- and Emeryville-based bioscience companies. They will share their results in team lightning presentations and posters. The students worked with bioscience and biomedical device start up companies like Zephyrus Biosciences,Farmatic, Nosocom Solutions, Kiverdi, Nodexus as well asBerkeley Lab's Advanced Biofuels Process Demonstration Unit. Projects include everything from chip fabrication for the single cell Western blotting system to the manufacture of microfluidic devices for early stage cancer detection. From analyzing the market potential for biogas technology across the…Find out more »

Please join us for student presentation night and meet future biotechnologists.
Come and help us celebrate UC Berkeley students who have spent the semester working with East Bay-based bioscience companies. They will share their results in team lightning presentations and posters.
The students have been working with local bioscience and biomedical device start up companies: Nodexus, Atacama, Amaryllis Nucleics, HJ Science & Technology, Inc as well as Berkeley Lab's Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI). Student projects range from developing bioinformatics pipelines for Next Generation Sequencing data to fabrication of a biomimetic moisture channeling platform to development of a microfluidic device that can separate cells of single interest for use in early cancer detection.
This will be an opportunity for you to meet some of the best and brightest young scientists and engineers in the Bay Area (a few of whom will be graduating soon and looking for gainful employment!)
